Extra life was created in 2008 as a way to honour a young lady name Victoria Enmon, who was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia. Although Victoria passed away in January of 2008, the creator of Extra Life asked his partners at Sarcastic Gamer if they would be interested in a 24-hour video game marathon to raise money for the hospital that helped Victoria.
In 2008 and 2009, Extra Life had raised over $300,000, in which 100% went to the Children Miracle Network Hospital. Currently, there are thousands of gamers who are a part of this community and more than 100 websites and more than 12,000 donors are supporting Extra life. Every year, Extra Life holds a 24-hour marathon in hope for raising money for the children who are in needs. So sign up or donate today!
