What We Do

Forgotten Cat's main goal is to decrease the population of homeless cats without harming or killing them. This is done by means of trap, neuter, and release as well as adoption for non feral cats.

Cats as a species are not entirely domesticated, meaning that there are cats who have been separated from people for too long or never had any human interaction. These cats are feral and cannot be reintroduced to humans. But by trapping, neutering, and releasing these feral cats back into their colonies, we can effectively work at decreasing the homeless cat population in a humane way.

When we find a homeless cat that is not feral or newborn kittens of a feral cat, we try to have these cats adopted so they can live a happy life with people! With 7 full-time adoption centers in Petsmart, Petco, and Pet Supplies Plus stores, we are able to get thousands of cats

We have many clinics and adoption centers for our cats to stay at, but we also always need foster homes so we can really get to know what a cat is like before we put them up for adoption. It also helps the cats become more socialize with people, which is extremely important!

Since Forgotten Cats' founding in 2003, we have sterilized over 93,000 cats and have had over 8,000 adoptions! We believe every cat's life matters, even if they are feral, because while we don't want there to be more feral cats, a feral cat can still have a very happy life after being sterilized.
