The stream has been active since 2011. In its first year it was much more humble (no pun intended). For the most part it was not much more then a simple livestream. The charitable aim was to raise money to buy goats to send to small African villages with little to no sources of food. In 2012 the stream was overhauled, much to the delight of the fans. The goal was to financially support the organization Oxfam. "Honeydew's Honey Drive" was the nickname that was given to the Oxfam project Plan Bee. They managed to raise £211,235.86, which went to educating honeybee farms in Ethiopia; a country which has very little legitimate business organizations. 2013 was their biggest year yet, with the total donation count rising to 1,156,799.80. This year the livestream had a cow theme, which was due to early speculation that the money would go towards sending cows to African villages through Oxfam, similar to 2011. However, they instead split the donations between 5 separate charities: Oxfam, Special Effect, Little People UK, Games Aid and War Child. Each donater could choose how they wanted the donations to be divided when they made a submission. Humble Bundle offered to let their site be used to host the donations, and many developers jumped on this bandwagon, putting their games up as an incentive to donate. If anyone donated a certain amount, they would be rewarded with a select number of games for digital download.
