Art
As I have mentioned before, I have a love for expressing myself through art.
I have a deviantart account, which you can go to from here (make "here" linkable).
On this page I will simply show a few that are my personal favorites. I tend to
draw fan art but I love drawing hands or practicing realism. Most of the art
listed on this page are original with 3,5, and 8 being fan art.
Fate
I drew this over the summer because I desperately wanted to draw something surrealistic.
And because of my fascination with the free will vs. destiny debate, I decided to
go with fate as the theme. The ribbons represent the Japanese concept of the red
string, it leads to the one you are meant to marry. I added the hand as the literal
hand of the clock because of my eccentric taste. The stars were also viewed as fate
in Elizabethean times so I thought it was apropriate to make the background starry.
Death is Just the Beginning
This is a picture I did entirely on the electronic muro that deviantART offered. I
wanted a scrapped magazine paper feel (why, I have no idea) and loved the result.
The abstract message from the picture is that there is life after death so death
is just the beginning.
Under the Moon
This is a fan art for the Japanese comic Bleach. I was inspired by the fan
book that came out explaining the story behind the villains and this was born. I
like it because I worked hard to get the nighttime effect. It's not perfect but at
least it was fun.
Perfect
This was inspired by P!nk's song F**king Perfect. It's one of my life songs.
Joy of Motherhood
This is a fan art from the classic anime Tenchi Muyo. From the latest OVA
(Original Video Animation), these two characters bonded and I wanted to convey that
deepened bond.
Drawing Little Samhein
This is a drawing I did for a Halloween contest that a deviantART member (crazyjen)
hosted. The art required a pumpkin, flower, and pencil. I kept having a girl in a
pink, surreal forest so this is what I ended up drawing. I purposely drew a hand
drawing the picture in order to justify the pencil being in the artwork. Little
Samhein is my baby!
Oh Say Can You See
This is one of the pastel drawings I had to do in art class in college. I was, and
still am, proud of this piece because it looks three dimensional.
84. Trust You
The name comes from a Japanese song called "Trust You" by Yuna Ita. It is very
beautiful, I recommend you listen to it. This was three or four years ago and the
fan club for Bleach wanted to make a fan playlist dedicated to the characters
Orihime and Ulquiorra. This is one of the songs.
Red Monoprint
This is a monoprint I did at the first art show for my high school. While the
"business" slowed down, I played around with monoprinting and this was the result.
To me, it looks like a stylized rabbit surrounded by graceful flames. My friends
saw either the Loch Ness Monster or a bird.
Autumn
This is a painting I did during my senior year of high school. I was excited to have
a canvas and paint to use so I tried to paint something that meant a lot to me and
that was autumn. It helped sooth my depression so it'll always hold a type of
meaning in my heart.
